Jo started organising trips for friends and friends of friends so that they could experience some of her favourite places that she had visited while working for Reuters Foundation.

She is now working with locals in mostly off-the-beaten-track destinations to take small groups on tours.
​
She can also organise customised tours for those who want unaccompanied tours. Local guides with excellent English will be available in each location for these groups.
The idea is to have a minimum of six and a maximum of twelve people on each tour. This allows us to choose special boutique hotels to stay at and gives a much more personal experience for all travellers.
Our local contacts mean that groups can sometimes dine with local journalists and other experts to hear about recent events as well learning about history, architecture and art from local English speaking guides.
Typically days will start with a guided tour but there will be plenty of free time to meander and re-visit favourite spots on your own or in small groups. The tours are relaxed and everyone can choose to participate in scheduled tours and events or spend more time doing their own thing.
In addition to places on accompanied tours, we are happy to organise separate customised tours for small groups or families. We will arrange for English speaking guides to meet you in each city. And working with local partners we can organise trips for larger groups and conferences.
Local Partners
​We feel it is important for local people to benefit as much as possible from tourism in their country. And we feel that we and our clients also benefit from our local partners' in-depth knowledge and in their generosity in sharing their cultures. We use local guides on every tour and we stay, whenever possible, in hotels and guest houses that are not international brands. We love our central hotels (and sometimes yurts!) that are full of local flavour and decor. And our clients love these places that are selected for comfort, cleanliness, beauty and location.
